Caulders Team

We thought you might like to know more about the people you see at Caulders and what our roles are, these are just a selection of people, there are many, many more:

Colin – Managing Director. Colin is renowned within Caulder for 2 things – his hair brain ideas and his clumsiness! He will do anything to help anyone and believes in Caulders more than anything else in the world. However do not expect him to be on time for a meeting with you! He is married to Mandy and lives on site at Kirkintilloch. He holds all the team together and takes the business forward.


Mandy – Finance Manager. Mandy is married to Colin, and you know what they say “Behind every great man there is an exceptionally crabbit woman…” well, Mandy fits that bill perfectly! She is in charge of all the accounts, admin, coffee shops and gift buying. She is affectionately known as The Fat Controller!


Alister - Operations Manager and Kirkintilloch Manager. Alister is the brawn to Colin’s brain. If you want a job doing ask Alister! .He is very fair minded with staff in as much as he hates everyone the same! He lives locally with his partner and young son.


Calum – Braidbar Manager. Calum is the man in charge at Newton Mearns! Calum is a charmer; nothing is a problem to him. He lives on the Southside of Glasgow with his wife and little girl. Lock up your mum’s when Calum is about – he chats everyone up! He is nicknamed “The Fox”


Martin – Purchasing Manager – Martin does all the buying for the garden centre. He thinks he is still a teenager! He leaves a trail of devastation behind him wherever he goes. He is in severe need of a brain transplant! Can anyone help?


David – Mugdock Manager – David, as suggested is the man in charge at Milngavie. He is also our customers service expert – he would even help Santa with his deliveries! David thinks he is a re-incarnation of Elvis – we think he is a reincarnation of Ethel from Eastenders. He always uses the wrong words in sentences. Next time you talk to him see how many incorrect phrases you can pick up!


Mo – Mo is in charge of the shop at Kirkintilloch – she knows everyone! If you need advice with anything from cheese to cotoneasters – Mo will know!


Lorna – Lorna is the longest serving member of staff and we are sure she only applied for a weekend job to meet fit guys who she thought may work here. Then she discovered she had a bigger passion for plants than men, and believe me – to be bigger than her passion for men – it must be BIG!


Janice and Lynn – These two are Mugdock’s answer to The Cheeky Girls. They work within the shop at Mugdock and like nothing better than to complain of the weather and their kids, the weather seems more predictable!


Laura – Catering manager- The last time Laura smiled they were selling tickets for the Titanic! Laura keeps everything running smoothly within the restaurants and tries to stop Sarah Jane skiving!




Catriona – Catriona is the schools and friends co-ordinator. Her hobbies include talking, talking and talking


This is a light hearted look at our team but please do not under estimate how seriously we all take our roles and responsibilities.
