Mugdock is where the Caulders story began…
In April 1999 Colin and Mandy Barrie opened a small plant centre in the Victorian Walled Garden at Mugdock Country Park Milngavie – and like their plants …it just grew from there!
Caulders Mugdock must be one of the most picturesque garden centres in Scotland. It’s built around the original Victorian buildings which formed the potting sheds and walled gardens of Craigend Castle. The Victorians were very clever and always chose south facing sun traps on which to build their walled gardens – Mugdock is no exception! The micro climate of the walled garden at Mugdock provides the perfect place to grow great plants.
Although Mugdock began as purely a plant centre, it now boasts a beautiful and quaint gift shop, fully stocked a great range of gift ideas. Adding to this there is also The Garden House Restaurant which offers great coffee, delicious homemade cakes and great fresh lunch options.
Mugdock Country Park boasts gorgeous walks and scenery, making it the all-round perfect place for a day out!
