Earlier this week, our garden centre teams came together at our Linlithgow Centre for a two-day introductory training course, as we begin preparations for a new Electronic Point of Sale system (essentially how our tills work for all our non-techy readers out there 😄) due to be introduced this March.

As an independent, family-run business, we’re always careful about the changes we make – especially when they impact our teams and our customers. This first run-through was all about understanding what’s ahead, asking questions, and making sure we take the time to get things right.

We were delighted to welcome Alan and Grant from Corby & Fellas, who flew up to Scotland to guide our teams through the system and share a behind-the-scenes look at how it will support day-to-day working in our centres. Their friendly, hands-on approach made the sessions informative, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable.

Our IT Director, Ewan, helped organise the training and is working closely with Corby & Fellas to ensure the transition is smooth, well-planned and right for Caulders.

While this was just the first step, it marks an exciting milestone for Caulders. The new system will help support our teams day to day and allow us to keep doing what matters most – looking after our customers and offering the friendly, personal service we’re known for.

Here’s a wee glimpse of our teams getting stuck in during the training sessions at Linlithgow:
