Assistant Restaurant Manager – Full Time

Are you an experienced hospitality professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a motivated, organised and customer-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy restaurant at Caulders Garden Centre, Mugdock.
Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help lead the team, deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every customer enjoys a warm and welcoming Caulders experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant
- Leading, motivating and supporting the front of house team throughout service
- Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving customer queries professionally
- Assisting with staff training and development
- Helping to coordinate daily staffing levels and service requirements
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Supporting stock control, ordering and reducing waste
- Ensuring company procedures and health & safety standards are followed
- Leading by example and working alongside the team during busy service periods
What We’re Looking For
- Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality or a busy restaurant environment
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to support all areas of the restaurant
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and busy seasonal periods

Details
Location: Mugdock Country Park Mugdock, Mugdock, Milngavie G62 8EL
Hours: Full Time – 5 days out of 7, including regular weekend working.
Pay: Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.
