Garden Centre Assistant – Part Time (3–4 Days per Week)

Do you have a passion for gardening, plants and providing excellent customer service? We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Garden Centre Assistant to join the team at Caulders Garden Centre, Kirkintilloch.

This is a part-time role, working 3–4 days per week, with the opportunity for additional hours during busy periods and seasonal peaks.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their purchases.
• Offering advice and guidance on our range of plants and garden products.
• Watering and caring for plants to ensure they are well presented.
• Replenishing stock and creating attractive product displays.
• Assisting with deliveries and keeping the garden centre clean, tidy and organised.
• Operating the tills and processing customer transactions when required.
• Working as part of a friendly team to ensure the centre is welcoming and well presented at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• A passion for gardening, plants or horticulture.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
• A positive, friendly and approachable attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• A willingness to learn and get involved in all areas of the garden centre.
• Flexibility to work weekends as part of your regular shift pattern.

Hours: Part Time – 3–4 days per week, including regular weekend working. There is flexibility for additional hours during busy periods and holidays.

Pay: National Minimum Wage, depending on age and experience.
