Gift Shop Assistant – Part Time

Do you enjoy helping customers and creating an enjoyable shopping experience? We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Gift Shop Assistant to join the team at Caulders Garden Centre, Newton Mearns.

This is a part-time role, working 16–24 hours per week, typically over 2–3 days, including regular weekend working.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their purchases.
• Operating the tills and processing both cash and card transactions.
• Replenishing stock and creating attractive retail displays.
• Helping to maintain high standards of presentation throughout the gift shop.
• Offering product knowledge and recommendations to customers.
• Assisting with seasonal displays and merchandising.
• Working as part of a friendly team to ensure the shop is welcoming and well presented at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
• A friendly, positive and approachable attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends as part of your regular shift pattern.
