Skimmia Japonica ‘Rubella’ is one of the most reliable, shade-loving evergreens for Scottish gardens.
It has super glossy foliage and distinctive red buds that hold throughout winter before opening into creamy-white, scented flowers in spring. It grows equally well in a border or container and provides great interest throughout winter and into early spring.
